Welcome, I’m Daphne

I’m an artist who paints stories. I’ve been painting and drawing since I was a kid, and spent my college years at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Deeply influenced by stories that have captivated my whole life, I draw inspiration from mythologies, cinematography, and your favorite fantasy stories.

I’m drawn to the kind of image that feels like it belongs somewhere in between—maybe from this world, maybe from another—statues that look like they might breathe or very human moments that seem frozen in time. 

My signature style blends classical painting techniques with moody, cinematic lighting and a touches of fantasy.

When I’m not enchanted by stories in my studio, you’ll find me lost in a book, walking my dog, or having a cup of coffee with my husband.
